The mission of Rudolph Matas Elementary School is to maintain high academic achievement by meeting the diverse learning needs of every student.
Matas is collecting money for United Way. On Tuesday, October 25, students who donate $1.00 will be allowed to wear a crazy hat to school. On Wednesday, October 26, students who donate $1.00 will be allowed to wear crazy socks to school. Please show your support for United Way by participating in our Crazy Days!
Our annual Fall Fest Day is scheduled for Friday, October 28, 2016. Order forms will be sent home with students as it gets closer. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the PTO at (504) 484-8081.
Late take in days will provide teachers with an opportunity to work in Professional Learning Communities. Before-care is available as usual from 7:00-9:00 in the morning. First nine weeks report cards will be sent home with students on Wednesday, October 19. Please sign the report card jacket and return it to school the next day.
Matas will hold its annual Book Fair from October 14-October 20. Students will have an opportunity to view items for purchase, make a wish list, and shop during their PE time. If you have any questions about book fair, please contact Ms. Kabel at (504) 484-8014.
